Shattering Expectations is an aspirational capital campaign that seeks your support to realize Pittsburgh Glass Center’s full potential as a center for artistic excellence and a driver of economic opportunity through a major expansion of our facilities. GLASS ART: WE TEACH IT. WE CREATE IT. WE PROMOTE IT. WE SUPPORT THOSE WHO MAKE IT. Since opening in 2001, Pittsburgh Glass Center has worked to cultivate an inclusive and welcoming environment that encourages everyone, from the casually curious to the master artist, to learn, create, and be inspired by glass. In order to keep up with the increasing demand for our programs and studios, we need to expand our physical space. This expansion project will allow PGC to: create more studio space, grow our unique apprenticeship program, create a retail store, and allow space for more community programming. Expanded facilities will be transformational for Pittsburgh Glass Center, the East End of Pittsburgh, the constituents we serve, and the wider international glass art community as they will strengthen our capacity to advance a more diverse, vibrant, and accessible glass art community. ----------------------- Video by Sandra Bacchi
